The Challenge- A local college needed to improve faculty and staff interactions with students with disabilities. It would be impossible for all of the faculty and staff to take the training in a traditional classroom. A stand-alone, interactive training tool was needed but the college did not have all of the needed resources to develop the tool internally.
The Solution- DDM collaborated with the staff of the college to create a CD-ROM based training tool that featured video clips of case studies. DDM created the main interactive program interface and shot video footage for the project. The internal staff of the college developed the scripts and did the detailed programming needed to complete the project.
The Results- The college was able to leverage its internal resources with DDM's expertise to create and effective training tool within their limited budget. Faculty and staff members can take the training when convenient on any computer. The college is planning to market the training program to other colleges.
